Excellent food. Steak is hands down the best in bergen county. Ton runs a tight ship and his waiters are amazing.

Allendale Steakhouse is outstanding. The atmosphere is warm and upscale, the steaks are perfectly cooked and full of flavor, and the service is attentive and friendly. A top-tier steakhouse in NJ—highly recommend!

A long standing restaurant who recently moved across the street from their old location. The new location used to be an old bank building. Great meets for sure!

Very disappointed, won't be back. We dined here for my birthday on a recommendation. 3 out of the 4 steaks we ordered were not done properly. Seafood appetizers were good and the wedge salad was alright too, but this is a steakhouse, not a seafood place. My steak pictured was $78, broiled for far too long on one side and had no crust whatsoever on the bottom- the char was so nasty and bitter I had to spit it out into a tissue. I asked for medium rare, on the rarer side, and it was very rare or well done, depending on if you had the top or bottom. I asked them to send out a medium rare replacement filet mignon, and it came deep blue on the inside, sent it back, and again it was still blue in the middle. Finally, after the 3rd time, it was alright, but anyone can make a better steak after a 5-minute YouTube tutorial. They tried to make it right, at least. The tacky fake neon LED sign and intimidating black exterior cheapens the atmosphere, along with the dilapidated bathroom. For spending over $700 for a party of 4 (after tip and 1 bottle of $32 wine), we should have spent the night in, or maybe at the River Palm Terrace.

First time here, excelent dinner all the way around. We liked sitting upstairs, nicer atmosphere. Had the porterhouse for 2, just perfectly cooked and delicious. The filet side melted in your mouth. Friends had rib eye and filet and said the same thing. Had several sides. The chips were the best! Oh, I almost forgot, the BACON appy, yum. At most steakhouses, this would be $350 or so with tip, but being a byo, it was $250 a couple, I felt redeemed, lol. Service was excellent, very friendly and attentive and the table was kept very clean. I can't wait to go back
